There is a consideration I am interested in making available for my readership: I want to know—within the realm of performance—how is it that you have learned to value yourself? What is the systemization or strategy that deepens your own self-worth? Is it the external reality that has entranced you in all its’ alluring faculties? Is it based-off the work that you busy yourself with, or the time that you have spent performing a certain task?
As for me? From the external modality of society, I have learned to understand myself as being an empathic individual for quite the duration of my journey throughout my existence. I took things face-value—brute force: with honesty and integrity and sobriety (for the most part) my entire life. Being an empathic individual from my perspective means that there is no level of separation between the egoic-self/persona and the authentic self, or, meaning? That there is no persona or mask in the way of my authentic nature: we exist as one in the same. (If confused, or struggling to understand click the supplemental materials and get the book, Balance The Creator, HERE.)
Existing through life in this manner can become quite nullifying and depressing as you begin to recognize others are wearing masks and taking them off in your midst. They want you to perceive them as being one way—one minute; and another way—the next. It is a very tricky and finnicky game they are all playing. So why can’t they all just stop playing their games and have a moment to reconnect with themselves? In my opinion, it is because life gets too challenging to absorb and wear all at once. Different people possess differing capacities of tolerating loss and discomfort and pain.
The persona—the ego—-is what people respond to in society. It is an image of what they want to be seen as for a specific moment. Often times we are left believing that our perception of them was that other person’s authentic self. Oftentimes, however, there is an unseen separate version of the way in which a person relates with themselves in a heavy-seeded foundational capacity in a safer environment.
So what about the value-portion then? When insults and judgments of all-sorts are being thrown directly at, around and into a person who is also an empath? This person is sucking it all up and expected to deal with it and not feel anything! Interact in the society as if it never happened!? The layer of armor on their skin becomes quite thick, heavy and even crippling or life-threatening; leading to all-sorts of various psychoses and false interpretations of identity.
Here’s the value-portion for any empaths out there if they wish to consider that it might be worth taking home and hanging onto: take a moment for yourself—with clarity, acceptance and appreciation—and understand that there were various “masks” and identities of self used to appropriately handle a certain task for a specific environment. Interpret each mask as possessing a level of value to it. For instance? The “mask” I wear for performances—is my means for existing in the external world, right? It is more important—more valuable—for me to hang onto, in my opinion then my “mask” I wear to leisurely, “hang out,” in public. But ultimately there is the “SELF-SELF” being in my background who holds the virtuosic components, the individual who with nothing in the way of external and ephemeral physical components intrinsically possesses a valuable sense of being-ness with another person. There is a quietness and simplistic nature and a radiant light of connectedness to a higher energetic frequency.
And so? As an empathic person I have learned to radiate my entire energy through that single source identity and have made myself aware of its level of value. Any and all “masks” come from this one source I expel all my radiant-beingness through. That, where if no “masks” were ever required of me to be placed on for a certain level of protective boundary, or for notoriety, or for whatever the case may be, I would know who I am and be capable of discerning myself from a “mask” identity. It might be a solo-journey, but I recognize that I am way too valuable to be wearing all that “yuckiness” on my back, or face, or wherever it comes through from. I have overcome and made my necessary distinction. Be well in the meantime and congratulate yourself for having made it this far along in your journey. May we some day meet up with one another and align with our true identities in full-effect.
